Yvonne Dalorto is a British-trained teacher and former Headteacher of a British school in the south of Spain. She has extensive experience in teaching English as a Second Language and has provided support to schools with curriculum guidance, implementation, and lesson planning.
In the early 1990s, Yvonne began using Jolly Phonics as a resource to assist students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The success of this approach soon led to its adoption as the core resource for the Literacy Hour across the school.
Yvonne has collaborated extensively with educational departments and ministries within the UK and internationally, exploring the implementation and facilitation of synthetic phonics and its adaptation for ESL/SEND. Her efforts have empowered teachers to effectively use Jolly Phonics to achieve outstanding levels of English language proficiency and meet literacy objectives.
Currently, Yvonne serves as the Training Community and Content Manager for Jolly Learning UK, where she supports global trainers and oversees their training delivery.
